To ensure they work properly, wetsuit gloves must fit correctly. The gloves should fit like a second skin, without any gaps for water to fill. Excess water will cause you to feel cold, and it will make your arms feel heavy with the extra weight of the water, which is the last thing you want when paddling!

What temperature do you need to start wearing wetsuit gloves?

It depends how much you feel the cold. Some people have bad circulation and wear gloves almost year round. We personally find that the gloves come out when air temperature is 12 degrees C or below. This also depends on factors such as water temperature, time spent in the water etc.
