Your safety leash is probably the most important component of your kitesurfing equipment, check it regularly for any wear, make sure you know how to use it and attach it properly as this little piece of kit can save your life and others!

This leash attaches to the leash attachment point on your control bar, this is usually located below the chicken loop and is normally a stainless steel ring or shaped piece of stainless metal. The other end attaches to your harness. You should always be familiar with where you attch the leash to your harness and you should also be completely familiar with all your safety systems and quick releases on your kitesurfing equipment.

Never kitesurf without a leash on your bar, it is very dangerous for you and others around you!
